Seplat Energy announced a US$0.05 interim dividend and US$0.14 special dividend per ordinary share for the period ended 30 September 2026. Together, they equal US$0.19 gross per eligible share, subject to applicable withholding tax. This Seplat November 2026 dividend currency checklist separates the share count, payment currency, conversion and cash receipt.
As at 4 November, the scheduled FX determination was still ahead. Therefore, the worksheet leaves the naira rate and expected net receipt blank. Use the announced dollar components to check gross arithmetic while you wait for the issuer’s FX communication.

Put each date against the right control
The 29 October corporate-action notice distinguishes the FX determination, record and payment dates. In particular, an ex-dividend date is different from a register closure. Ask custody or the registrar to confirm entitlement from the relevant records.
| Date | Event in the notice |
|---|---|
| 29 October 2026 | Seplat announces the interim and special dividends |
| 11 November 2026 | LSE ex-dividend date and date for determining FX |
| 12 November 2026 | NGX qualification, LSE record date and planned FX communication |
| 13 November 2026 | NGX register closure |
| On or around 27 November 2026 | Expected payment |

Next, assign an owner to each check. For example, custody can confirm the eligible holding, while treasury can attach the FX notice to the settlement record. Avoid treating a trade date or a calendar entry as proof that the holder qualifies.
Check the currency by listing channel
For NGX holdings without a valid Certificate for Capital Importation, the notice sets naira as the default. For NGX holdings with a valid CCI, the default is US dollars. The holder must provide evidence to DataMax. Under this notice, such a holder can elect to receive the entire payment in naira. The notice does not allow a partial election for that route.
For holdings through LSE depositary interests, the notice gives US dollars as the default. Confirm any applicable instructions with the depositary. Seplat’s official dividend information page links to forms for DataMax and Computershare.

Record the default and any accepted election in different fields. In addition, retain the confirmation date and channel. Keep personal records and bank details in approved custody or registrar systems. The public worksheet needs only verification status.

Calculate gross dollars before conversion
Assume a fictional entitlement of 10,000 ordinary shares. First, multiply the share count by US$0.05 to get US$500 of interim dividend. Then multiply the same count by US$0.14 to get US$1,400 of special dividend. Adding the two produces US$1,900 gross before any deduction or currency conversion.

If the settlement currency is naira, enter the issuer’s verified rate when it becomes available. Use that rate and the verified deduction treatment for the account. Meanwhile, leave the conversion rate, deductions and expected net amount open. A blank field signals an outstanding check.
Reconcile expected payment with actual receipt
Before closing the item, confirm the eligible quantity, accepted currency, applicable conversion and deductions. Then match the actual bank or custody receipt to the expected amount. For example, record a missing payment or a difference as an exception with an owner and follow-up date.

FX follow-up and downloads
Version 1, checked 4 November 2026. The notice schedules FX determination for 11 November and communication for 12 November. We have not verified an applicable rate or a naira payout. Update the FX entry only after you can attach the later issuer communication.
The worksheets reproduce the announced dates and arithmetic. They cannot determine a holder’s entitlement, tax treatment or actual payment. Review those matters against the relevant holding records, official instructions and appropriate professional advice.
